Friday Favorites, Thakoon

Thakoon

Free the shoulders! What a nice way to get through summer. And as you know that I’m a big fan of oversized pieces and lace up sandals you shouldn’t wonder that this got into my Friday Favorites. & I admit, it also might have been Sanne Vloet that made me like this look so much. Since I caught her on the streets in Paris I’m a big fan of her. Whenever she turns up in a fashionshow I’m tending to like the outfit. That girl definitely fulfills her duty concerning modelling. Thakoon gets the fashionistas on a tropic holiday with this collection. Palmtrees, strips of raffia and everything that makes you feel on vacation represents the ready to wear SS15 show.

White Valentino

Today I finally found the time to shoot my new purchases from Milan. This weekend, just after my exams, we drove to Italy to see our family. I could finally turn off my brain after studying with good conscience. So I took the time for one of my favorite (and I think every girl’s favorite) activities. You can’t go to the fashion metropole without doing some serious shopping. I’m wearing this kind of a jewel, Valentino, in combination with an all white look and camel lace up heels.

Friday Favorites

MARC0019
From now on, every friday I’m going to show you guys one look from the runways which I absolutely love and would wear immediatly. & I think to make a good start with my new tradition there’s no better brand than Chloé. This look was the opening look from the spring 2015 ready-to-wear show. I just love it from the bottom to the top. The gladiator sandals in that pale pink colour got copied a thousand of times because of their popularity and just match the boho dress like nothing else would. It makes you want to pack your bags and just disappear for a beach vacation forever.

THDC haha

It hasn’t been my first outfit post in these Max Mara pants. But I’m sure you know the feeling after you’ve done something and suddenly you know you should have done it the other way! That’s how I felt. But I think that in fashion it’s not about having the newest pieces that just went straight from the runway to the stores. It’s more about reinventing and mix-matching differently than the day before. And let’s be honest, who has got the money for these expensive pieces or simply to get new stuff every day? Surely not a student like me.. I felt like putting a white top together with my Max Mara lovies which makes the look softer than with the peachy blouse I put on in Rome (last look here).

tanks & flip flops at Dior

Dior resort 2016..

For the resort 2016 show creative director Raf Simons launched a very easy-going collection.
Dior couldn’t have found a better location for the show.
Nowhere else than in beautiful Cannes where the legendary film festival will take place very soon.
So it doesn’t happen often to see Flip Flops on the high fashion runways but somehow even Louis Vuitton decided to include them in their resort show (held in Palm Springs). Regarding the tank tops: We all thought they have gone out of fashion but it looks like Raf Simons is trying to get them back in. At least it’s something comfy to wear.. The collection itself varies from multicoloured patterns, monochrome to seethrough and even plaid fabrics. There isn’t one thing missing, thumbs up !

Best Of Met 2015

MetGala 2015 best of ed

China was the theme of this year’s exclusive Met Gala. There were some celebrities taking it very serious but most of them just wanted to stand out with their glamorous looks and didn’t really give importance to the theme. Here you can find my personal favorite looks of this year put together in one picture. Chiara Ferragni (on the left) was the first blogger ever to attend the Gala and looked absolutely gorgeous in her Calvin Klein gown. Of course also the new face of CK was almost obliged to wear the brand so Kendall Jenner was almost the highlight of the Met Gala with her simple but elegant look. Candice Swanepoel appeared in Michael Kors, Gigi Hadid in Diane von Fürstenber and Diane Kruger in Chanel.

Stay updated for some more red carpet looks ( next time it’s going to France .. )
